Free WordPress Hosting Review: FreeHostingNoAds.net

FreeHostingNoAds.net is a no-frills host, and frankly, a high-risk free host that I would not recommend.

FreeHostingNoAds.net claims to offer a "guarantee" of an ad-free website, without pop-ups, banners or forum posting required. What it does not offer is a "guarantee" of a web site at all!  You can be online and fine one day, and gone the next with no explanation from the host. That happened to me in April 2014.

I had a perfectly functioning WordPress web site online with FreeHostingNoAds.net in April 2014, with about 100 pages in it. It was getting 1500 visits a day... because I had developed it elsewhere, and it came with the traffic. Four days after I put this blog online at FreeHostingNoAds.net, they shut it down without explanation.  And it was not an illegal site, it was a cultural web site.

Inside many free WordPress hosting control panels, you have the option to submit a "Ticket" if something goes wrong, and get help to fix it. Not here. The FreeHostingNoAds.net control panel does not accept tickets, and the company offers no support, and no way to contact them at all. If they shut you off, you will never know why.

The only "added features" inside your FreeHostingNoAds.net control panel are banner ads for paid hosting and paid domain name registration.

If you still want to run the risk, well then FreeHostingNoAds.net offers 20 Gigs of disk space and 200 Gigs of bandwidth traffic, a number of templates and an autoinstaller to set up WordPress in a click or two. You can use your own domain name (change the name servers to those of FreeHostingNoAds.net), or get a free URL such as MyFreeBlog.t15.org.

It's your site, it's your choice. Good luck.

  1. THIS BUSINESS IS CLOSED! DO NOT USE THEM! For some reason you can still get on the sight. In September of 2015 my couple websites that they were hosing were taken down, and locked so I could not get into them. Thought it was because I had started multiple websites, which on their site said there was a $12 fee to do so. There was no bill on my account, but I sent them their $12 anyway. They took the money, but never opened my accounts. I tried contacting them for months with no response from them. In December 2015 contacted the Better Business Bureau and they tried multiply ways of contacting them with no response. The BBB, in late January of 2016, said that they went out of business.

  5. Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Many thanks!
